Chapter 10

I woke up and called Justin. He is going to pick me today and we will have a lunch at his house.

After I finished the call with Justin, I took a shower and got ready. Justin came earlier, around 1:30 pm and we got in his car.

"So, how was the lunch yesterday?” - He asked.

"We were cooking. Both." - I giggled.

"It was pretty fun, but the dinner was amazing".

 "Dinner? You had dinner too?"- He asked as he was parking his car in front of his enormous house.

Then we got out of the car and headed towards the house.

 "Yes. It was magical. Like, he told me to wear a long dress and everything." - He opened the door and we got inside, as I continued talking.

 "...It was so fancy, he even brought me flowers and then we went to an expensive restaurant." - We sat on the sofa in the living room while I was still talking.

"...It was empty. Just me and him. We were dancing and kissing and, you know." I blushed and covered my face.

He let out awe and hugged me. I put my head on his chest, blushing even more. I could hear his heartbeat.

We spent that afternoon eating and having fun basically. We even decided to watch a movie. Justin played "The notebook". He picked a blanket and sat next to me. In the middle of the movie my phone rang. I excused myself and went in the other room. It was Jason

 "Hey Jay" - I sounded happy.

"Hey Nath, where are you? I am in front of your house."

"I am not home. I am at Justin’s. We were having lunch and now we are watching a movie" - I replied awkwardly because I could hear sadness, anger and a bit of jealousy in his voice.

But, why jealousy? I mean, we are pretending to be together. Even though, last night, the dinner was like a date, like a legitimate couple. Dancing, kissing, holding hands, making out and everything that most couples do. No wonder why he is jealous, he is obviously falling for me.

 "Oh, so you are in his house?" -He asked.

 "Well, yeah, why?" -I replied confused.

"Just wondering. What about our date last night?"- He asked unsure of what was going on.

 "What about it?" – I acted unaware, but we both knew it was a date.

 "Baby girl, you know it was a date, stop pretending."- He was now sure in his answer and decided that he did not care about my opinion.

 “We will talk about this at my house. I will be there in 20 minutes." - I replied calmly, trying to hide away my anxiety.

 "Deal babe. I will be waiting for you."

"Okay, see you"

"Love you, baby girl." - I started giggling and said "love you" back, without even noticing Justin had heard me.

I looked at Justin, who was staring at me with an apologetic face.

 “Sorry for interrupting ... You hissed and I thought...-" - I cut him off.

"It is okay Justin, I was talking with Jay about something. That is why I hissed."- I slowly smiled to him, making sure everything is okay.

He simply nod and gave me his hand. I caught it, as he opened the door and started running with me towards his room. I was laughing. He opened the door of his room and we got inside. I was still giggling, but when I saw his serious face, I stopped. He then, gently closed the door almost as if he did not want to make any noise. It got me confused. What is he doing? I furrowed my eyebrows, while staring into his hazel eyes. He kept coming closer and closer, until there was no space left between us. His arms were around my waist hugging me, making me feel safe. From my eyes to my lips, his look kept moving. I bit my lips, while still staring into his eyes. There was a party in my stomach. Adrenaline kicking, making my heart beat faster, my breath slower, my body shiver. He was playing with the tips of my hair, making the butterflies in my stomach play even more. I stopped breathing for a second. We both closed our eyes leaning into each other and then....

My phone rang.

I put my head down and stepped back, but Justin was holding my waist and took me closer again. I cannot kiss him! He is my friend and I... Well I like Jason; I admit that, even if I do not want to. Justin was still holding me. Our bodies were touching. I could feel his warm breath on my skin. He attached his lips on my neck.

But I pushed him.

"What are you doing Justin?!" - I hissed, looking at him.

He was nervous and confused. And right now, I was afraid of him. He never did this.

 Okay, we did kiss when we were kids, but now? And he knows Jason is my "boyfriend".

~Flashback~

"Natalie!"

I saw Justin ran towards me. I was sitting in my garden on the bench. Justin came in front of me and sat next to me. I looked at him and he had a huge smile on his face, which made me smile too.

"What is it Justin? Why are you so happy?" - I asked him with a huge smile placed on my face.

"Nath, I earned so much money. Don't you think that is great?" - He asked with happiness in his voice.

Right now, I was a little bit confused, but still happy and with a smile on my face because of him.

"It is great, but how did you earn them?" - This time, I furrowed my eyebrows and I was waiting for his answer.

 He just continued to explain with excitement and happiness.

"You know I was singing and playing with my guitar in front of 'Avon Theatre', right?"- He asked me and I nod.

"Well, today came people from all around the world and they gave me money. Mom even recorded me like the most of the tourists did, and she put the videos on youtube. Imagine me being famous Nath." - He was so excited and happy.

 I just hugged him tight and rubbed his back.

"You will one day Justin. Believe and follow your dreams." - I reassured him. He chuckled.

"And you will be my girl."- he giggled, but I blushed and pulled away from the hug, then put my head down, blushing even more.

With his hand, he gently picked my chin up to face him.

"Close your eyes."- He stopped giggling and now he had a serious face.

I furrowed my eyebrows, with a confusing face.

"Just do it Nath. Trust me." - He reassured me this time and I nod, closing my eyes.

Next thing I know, I felt Justin's warm breath, hitting against my lips. I knew what was next and I opened my eyes to stop him, even though, I liked him back then. I opened my eyes and saw Justin with closed eyes. It was too late. I felt his soft, little lips on mine. I closed my eyes again to enjoy in the kiss, but unfortunately, it lasted only 2 seconds. When he pulled away, I looked at him surprised. He started chuckling.

"I see you like it Nath." - He started laughing.

I blushed and punched his arm playfully.

"Shut up Justin!"

He just continued chuckling and hugged me tight

That was my first kiss with Justin. I felt Justin's hand touching my chin and pulling it up. I was looking deeply in his chocolate, brown eyes and finally spoke.

"Jason is waiting me at home. I have to go."- I turned my gaze down, looking at the ground.

 I heard Justin let out a sigh and he made one step back.

"Can't he leave us a couple of hours alone?! Today was planned to be just for me and you. No interrupting or some shit like that. I even gave my maids one free day just to be alone with you." - He seemed sad and angry. I was, kind of, confused from his reaction.

He tried to kiss me, even though he knows I am with Jason. We saw each other like 2 days ago after 4 years.  4 years without him and now he is acting like nothing happened all this time. I really cannot understand him and he is making me confused. I rolled my eyes at him and stepped back.

"Justin we have time to see each other. Plus, we were all day together. Jason is waiting me home, so I need to go. Sorry. I will call you tomorrow and maybe we can see each other tomorrow too." - I said and came in front of him.

 I got on my tippy-toes and kissed his cheek, then went downstairs and took my coat. I turned when I heard Justin talking to me. He was standing there with his hands in his pockets. Only his thumbs were out and he was looking at me with teary eyes. I really hate when I see him with tears and plus I am the reason for them.

"So, you are leaving?" - He put his head up to face me.

His voice sounded like he was broken and he had tears in his eyes like I said before. Oh come on, why is he crying? I will be back, I am here and definitely I will not leave him like he did to me. Damn Jason is waiting for me! Hurry Natalie, hurry!

"Yes Justin, I am leaving but I will be here. I will be in my house and call you tonight or tomorrow okay?"

He nod and I ran to him. I wrapped my arms around him. He did the same. He gave me a tight hug.

"Do not cry Justin, I will be back." - I pulled away from the hug and placed my hands on his cheeks.

He leaned in and kissed my nose, which made me giggle.

"Come on, drive me home now." - I said in a happy voice and grabbed his ass.

He widen his eyes, as I started laughing and running outside. He was running after me and caught me. He threw me on his shoulder and placed his hands on my ass.

"Justin don't you dare!" - I hissed and tried to move his hands.

He just laughed and went towards the car. He put me down and I got in the car. Then, he drove me home.

Jason was waiting me in front of my house. Quickly, I kissed Justin's cheek and said bye to him, as I went out and ran to Jason. I wrapped my arms around him and he spun me around, which made me laugh. Then I heard Justin's car driving away on the road. He was driving so fast.

Man what will I do with these 2 boys?

Chapter 9

I saw him looking at us. His jaw was clenched and his hands were fists now. Wow, how can he act like that? Why isn’t he an actor? I mean he is acting so well.  Justin and I were still standing like that. His arms were wrapped around my waist and we were leaned in. His face was still close to mine, but he was looking at Jason, just as me.

“Justin, let me go.”- I looked down this time and Jason was staring.

 Justin stood us up and let his hands off of my waist, as Jason was coming towards us. I looked down and I could feel Jason in front of me. He put my chin up to look at him.

“Where were you? I was waiting for you in the car. Come on, let’s go.”

He took my hand and intertwined our fingers.

“Wait Jay… Just a second. I will come.”  - I replied.

He nodded and let my hand, then backed away from us. I glanced at Justin and all I could see was pain in his eyes.

“Here is my number so you can call me whenever you want.” – I smiled and I saw a smile growing on his face too.

“Deal. I will call you tonight okay?” – He asked.

“Yeah, I will be wait for your call.” – I smiled once again and gave him a hug, then kissed him on the cheek.

“See you, Justin.”

“See you, Nath.”

And with that, I turned and went towards Jason. He was waiting for me. A smile was placed on his face, as he caught my hand. We walked towards the car. He opened the door for me and I sat on the passenger’s seat.

He went on the other side and sat next to me. It was quiet in the car.

“Why did you tell Justin that you were my boyfriend?” – I asked him and turned my face to him. He had a smirk on his face.

“Because, I am your best friend and I know how girls can make me jealous. So, I am just making him jealous. Chill.”

I furrowed my eyebrows.

“Jealous? But, why would you do that? I do not love him, he does not love me. We are just friends Jay. Like me and you.” – I replied.

“Come on Natalie. I was standing there. Watching you two. His eyes shine when he is with you.  And when I told him, I am like “your boyfriend” , he had tears. He loves you Nath, accept that.”

I shook my head.

“No, Jason, stop it. He cannot love me, because he left me 4 years ago and I did not hear a word from him. Seeing him after 4 years… I doubt he even likes me!” – I hissed.

I mean how can he love me? We saw each other after 4 years. He cannot just see me now and fall in love with me. It just cannot…

“I do not know, but he does.” – He said, simply.

I let out a sigh and just looked out of the window of the car. We were in front of my house already. I unbuckled my seat and opened the door. Before I could go out, Jason grabbed my hand, stopping me. I turned to him and furrowed my eyebrows.

“No good night kiss, baby? “- He asked with his husky voice, coming closer to me.

But I pulled away and put my hand on his chest.

“Jason it is only acting in front of Justin. Not when we are alone.” – I said.

He nod and let my hand. I turned and got out, then waved at him. He smiled and drove away. I unlocked the door of my house and got in, as I locked again. Putting my coat on the hanger, I have not got enough energy to dress my pajamas, so I just lie on the bed and fell asleep.

…

Next morning, I woke up seeing my phone buzzling on the nightstand next to my bed. I groaned and rolled over to reach it. I saw unknown number on the screen. When I checked the clock it was nearly 2 pm. Oh my God… I press “answer” on the screen.

“Hello?” – My voice was raspy.

“Good morning, Nath.” – He chuckled, which made me giggle, even though I just woke up.

“Hey Justin.”

“Did I wake you up?” – He asked, a little bit worried.

“Yeah, but it was time…It is lunch time already.” – I said, reassuring him it is fine that he woke me up.

“Okay then. Come for lunch at my house.”

Just as I was about to answer him, the doorbell rang.

“Um… Wait for a minute Justin.” – I pulled the phone away from my ear and stood up, then opened the door.

It was Jason, leaned on the door, with a smirk on his face. I furrowed my eyebrows, asking myself what he is doing at my house at this time. I smiled to him, trying not to be rude.

“Hey babe.” – He smiled when he saw the phone in my hands.

I bet Justin heard this.

"Hey Jay." – I replied. He kissed my cheek and came inside.

I closed the door behind him.

"Umm... Wait for a minute; I am on the phone with Justin." – I smiled at him, as he did the same to me.

“Take your time baby." – He said and sat on the sofa in the living room.

I went in another room to talk with Justin.

"Hey Justin, sorry I took so long. Jay came."

"Yeah, I heard him. So, what about the lunch at my house? Are you come?"

"Um..." – I was about to reply to him, but I heard Jason yelling at me.

"Baby get ready, I am taking you out for lunch." – He was yelling from the living room.

I let out a sigh and continued talking with Justin.

"Um...Justin, I am sorry, maybe another time. I am going with Jason.”

"Yeah, okay, another time then." – He said in a low voice.

Almost whisper. I could tell by the sound of his voice, he was sad.

"So, yeah, got to go, I need to prepare now."

"Bye Nath. See you tomorrow then. Have fun."

"Bye Justin. See you."

And with that, I turned off my phone and went in the living room. Jason was there, almost laying on the sofa and watching TV. I cleared my throat, to get his attention. He turned his head to me and smiled.

"Hey, Nath."

"Hey Jay. What are you doing here and what about the lunch? "– I furrowed my eyebrows, acting confused.

"Well, I thought we can go get lunch today." – He said, scratching his neck and looking at the ground, but he turned his gaze at me after that.

"Okay. We can. But, let's leave that for dinner and eat here now. I will make something for us." – I saw his smile grow up and he nod.

"Sure we can Nath. I will help you. How about spaghetti?" –he asked with a smile.

"Sounds yummy." – I smiled back and got what we needed.

 Putting the spaghetti in the pot, I turned to make the meat balls. I got the spoon and I felt Jason's hands on my hips. After that he wrapped them around me and rested his chin on my shoulder, which made me smile. He put his hand on mine, as we both were preparing the food.

I put the plates on the table and he sat on the chair, as I did the same. We were eating and after that, we were talking about silly things, joking around. It was already 7:30 pm.

"Nath, go and prepare. I will go home, and I will come around 9 to pick you."

"Okay. By the way, where are we going? I want to know what I should wear." – I asked.

"Pick a long dress."- He smiled and I nod.

 Then, he hugged me and left. Letting out a sigh, I went upstairs. Opening the door of my room, I stepped inside. First, I decided to take a shower. Turning around and holding the door knob, I opened the door and headed in the bathroom. Letting the water run, I started taking my clothes off. I stepped under the shower and the water was falling down my body, giving me goosebumps. After a few minutes, I took my towel and wrapped it around my body. I went in my room and opened my wardrobe to find the perfect dress. I decided for a long, cream; dress, along with black heels. I put some light make up on me. My hair was on one side. I went downstairs and put my heels on, as I heard the doorbell rang. Taking my coat, I put it on me and opened the door. Jason was standing there with roses in his hands. He was wearing this a suit.

He checked me from head to toe and bit his lip.

"This is for you beautiful." – He gave me the flowers and kissed my cheek.

I blushed a little and turned around, giggling and gave him a hug.

"You should have not done this Jay. Anyway, thank you so much. They are beautiful." – I smelled them.

"Just like you are."- said Jason, making me blush.

My cheeks were burning red right now. He came closer and stroked my cheeks, then leaned in and kissed my cheek.

"I will go to put them in a vase."

I got out and locked the door, then headed towards the car. Jason opened the door for me and I sat on the passenger’s seat. Closing the door, he went on the other side and started the car, as he drove away.

We went in some restaurant and it was all empty. Just me and him. It had one table and two chairs. On the table was a red bottle of wine and two glasses for us.

He took my hand in his and intertwined our fingers, as we headed towards the table. Pulling the chair for me, I gave him a small smile and sat. Then, he went on the other side and sat in front of me. He poured wine in my glass, as he did the same with him.  The lights went off, but not all of them. The room was dim. I could only see his face in front of me, nothing else. Gosh, he was perfect. I have never noticed that before.

"Want to dance, Nath?" – He offered me his hand, which I gladly accepted.

I put my hand in his and stood up. We went in the middle of the "room”; if I can even say. Putting my hand on his shoulder and the other holding his, he placed his arm on my waist and the other one was holding mine. We were slowly moving, while looking into each other eyes. A smile was placed on my face, while he had a smirk, making him look even sexier, but cute in the same time. Those plump lips I wanted to kiss right now. I needed them. Like, I am addicted to them. My drug. Soft and sweet like a candy. He licked his lips and leaned me back, still holding me tight and protective so I will not fall. Looking into my eyes for the last time, he leaned in. I could feel his hot breath on my lips, which made me lick mine.

"You are my Cinderella. " – He smiled and pressed his lips against mine.

When we broke apart, I looked into his eyes and smiled.

"And you are my prince Charming."  - He pressed his lips again on mine and I smiled between the kiss.

After the dance, we ate and talked about stupid things in life. We stood up and he caught my hand again, making our way towards the car. When we come in front of my house, I turned to him and smiled.

"Thank you for the amazing night." – I smiled at him.

"You deserve it Nath. You do not need to thank me." – He stroked my cheek and leaned in, then finally pressed his lips against mine.

The kiss turned into a make out session. Finally, I pulled away and got out of the car without saying a word. I heard him drove down the road, as I unlocked my door and got inside.

I unlocked the door and got inside. Locking it again, I turned and took of my coat, then hung it. I took off my heels and just left them there, then headed upstairs in my room. I quickly changed into pajamas and lay on the bed. I started thinking of what happened tonight and the passed days. I cannot love him! He is my best friend and it should stay that way. But, on the other side, I cannot tell my heart what to do. Jason is sweet, carrying, handsome, sexy and everything a girl dreams of. And this tonight was something special. It was like our first date. We were alone in a restaurant, dancing, then he leaned in and kissed me, and then, the kiss in the car... And Justin was not there. I just do not know. My mind is always playing with me... It is not even funny anymore. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes. But, right after I closed then, my phone buzzled. I groaned and rolled over, then took it from the nightstand. It was a message from Jason.

From: Jay

To: Nath

"Sweet dreams Nath."

I noticed my smile growing up. Oh God, am I falling in love?

Chapter 8

"Nath. Shh... Stop crying. I am here now. I will not leave you ever again." - He pulled away from the hug and put his hands on my cheeks, then with his thumbs wiped my tears.

I put my hands on his and squeezed them tight.

"I do not want you to leave me again Justin. I want you to stay with me forever. I need my best friend back." - I still had tears and he wiped them again, and then pulled me into a tight hug.

His hand was in my hair and the other on my waist.

"Never again, Natalie." - He said.

I nod and nuzzled my head in his neck. He started giggling and pulled away from the hug.

"It is tickling me and you know that." - He said between the giggles.

 I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"You did not change. You are still an idiot." - I laughed.

"Oh, am I? Right now, guess what might happen?" - He asked with his husky voice, coming closer to me, as he put his hands around my waist.

 I furrowed my eyebrows, confused what is he going to do and say next. He came even closer and our bodies were touching. He whispered on my ear.

"Tickling."

 I widen my eyes and pushed him back a little.

"No!" - I said, still shocked from his answer, with my mouth open.

He started laughing.

"Oh, yeah." - He said, between the laughs.

"Stop it Justin, it is not funny, you know I hate that." - I groaned, which made him chuckle and then, he came closer again.

"I am kidding, Nath."

"You better be." - I gave him a stern look.

"Or what?" - He had a smirk on his face.

"Nothing!" -I huffed, which made him laugh again. I punched his shoulder playfully.

"Ouch!" - He was holding his shoulder.

"That did not hurt!" - I hissed, then laughed and he started laughing with me too.

He picked me up in his arms and spun me around. We were laughing and then he put me down. I was holding my head.

"God. I think I am going to fall."

He was laughing. I made a step and I was going to fall, but Justin caught me. He had his hands on my waist and he looked into my eyes. I looked in his too and noticed he moved his gaze to my lips. I licked them and he came closer to my face. Suddenly, I heard someone yelling my name and when I turned, I saw Jason standing there and looking at us.

Chapter 7

I put my hands on Jason, because they were wrapped around me. Justin looked at me with tears and he finally spoke.

"You have a boyfriend?"- He asked.

His voice showed he was hurt and he was about to cry. Looking at me, he was waiting for my answer. I just nod to him.

"Yeah, he is my boyfriend and my best friend. Why?" - I acted like I am confused and furrowed my eyebrows.

"Can we talk Natalie? Please?" - He was basically begging me and I turned my head to Jason, for permission, even though he was just my friend.

"Are you sure you want to go, babe?" - He asked, while he was looking at me.

"Yeah, why not, Jay?" - I replied.

"Well, okay, go then." – He shrugged with his shoulders, and I turned to Justin and gave him a smile.

My hands went off of Jason's and he let me go. Just when I was about to make a step towards Justin, Jason caught my wrist and turned me to him. Our bodies were touching and I put my head up to face him. He was a little bit taller from me.

"No kiss for me babe?" - A smirk appeared on his face.

It was weird and awkward at first, because this is going to be our second kiss and we are not even together. He is just my friend and he should stay like that. I cannot imagine him as my boyfriend. But, I had to act, so I smiled to him and wrapped my hands around his neck. I got on my tippy-toes to reach his lips and he leaned in, as our lips connected. It was just a peck, so when I pulled away I gave him a fake smile.

"I will be back in a minute, wait me in the car." - I told him.

He nod and pecked my lips once again, then gave Justin a stern look and left. I furrowed my eyebrows and turned to Justin, who was standing with his hands in his pockets. I saw pain in his eyes.

"What you want to talk about Justin?" - I said, while I was looking at him.

"Where were you all these years Nath? I came after 1 year and you were not there. I came to take you with me and..." - I interrupted in his speech.

"Oh, really?" - I crossed my arms.

"I was not there? What you thought Justin? I will wait you to come back? That I will not have other friends or a boyfriend? That you were the only one? Well you are wrong! " –

Tears came uninvited in my eyes. But, I am strong, I will not cry! Not in front of him. He is not worth my tears.

"Because, you forgot me! You have not called or even texted me! I knew that from the moment you told me you were leaving." - I was crying right now.

Tears were falling on my cheeks and on the cold floor. I could not stop them. And then, just like in the old times, he hugged me and I was crying on his shoulder, with my arms wrapped around him. That is what I call "HOLD TIGHT."
